us
our story began on the dating app, hinge. In october of 2022, kiana had just moved back to philadelphia from dallas to be closer to family, while jeremy was about a year into living in philly after relocating from minneapolis for work.
Our first date was on a fall day in philadelphia at franklin square, a park in old city where jeremy was living at the time. As soon as we met and started talking, we couldn’t stop. We stood in front of the ice cream stand for at least an hour, getting to know each other and shaking off the first date jitters (we didn't even order ice cream).
Not wanting the date to end, we wandered through the streets of old city, passed by the liberty bell, and eventually sat together in Independence National Historical Park, still deep in conversation about our lives. Even then, it didn’t feel like enough—so we continued the evening with dinner at Plough & the Stars on 2nd Street. The night carried on with drinks at Rotten Ralphs, laughter, and the kind of connection that made us both excited for what was ahead.
two years later, in october 2024, we took a trip to montreal to celebrate our anniversary. while we were there, we visited a jeweler and started designing a ring together. a few weeks later, on november 23rd, jeremy proposed back at franklin square.
we now live in society hill with our dog, riesling, and we’re excited to keep building our life together.
